Our congregation was organized in 1962 to serve the growing community. We are
affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which includes
persons of many religious backgrounds. Some of our practices include: believer
baptism (baptism at any age that you personally become a believer); open
communion every Sunday for all who wish to share; and the right of each
individual to make an informed decision on political and social issues. For more

Our Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m. and includes prayer, scripture, a Children’s Moment, choir and congregational singing, a scripture-based and relevant sermon, and open communion for all who wish to partake. Children are always welcome in the worship service but we also provide nursery and toddler care and Sunday School programs for ages 3 through adults.
Adult and Teen Sunday School classes meet at 9:30 a.m. for bible study and group discussions.

Our Outreach Ministries are a valuable experience for those who participate and those who receive. We serve others through the City Gospel Mission, Edwards/Gibbs Christmas Families, Racetrack Ministries, and various mission trips. Outreach Ministry is a priority at AHCC so we continually look for opportunities where we can serve others.
We host several special Community Events every year at AHCC, including our Turkey Dinner in November, Chili Supper in March, an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter weekend, a Summer Concert Series in June, July, and August, and Vacation Bible School every summer.
